Have you ever dreamed of seeing a real poker round being played? If your answer is yes then you need not worry as NBC's television show, Poker After Dark will cater to all your needs. This is an ultimate live poker tournament that is aired to viewers all over the world. It is aired for six days a week, the time taken for the game to find and decide upon a winner.

This series has had a fruitful run and is currently in its fifth season. The congregation of world class players at the poker table is all set to get up glued to the television set. If you don't get a chance to view these episodes there are a number of sites that offer videos and reports of this show. Let us take a brief whirl at some of the rounds that were played during the course of the shows running. The hecklers in the lineup on the 03/18 consisted of Phil Hellmuth, Sheiky, Loud Mouth Mike Matusow, Gavin Smith, Jean Robert Bellande and Sam Grizzle. These are the most well known poker players on the sets of NBC's Poker After Dark TV show and it was interesting to see how they would play this game of wit and luck.

The game started out with a lot of hue and cry where Jean Robert Bellande and Phil Hellmuth were at the forefront. Their argument was supposedly on the topic of proper table etiquette. Loud Mouth was the first to leave the group running out of luck in the same way as he fumbled his cards. Sheikhan noted for his well known aggressive play was the leading chip holder for most of the week and it was not surprising to see him eradicate the likes of Sam Grizzle and Gavin Smith from the table.

On the final day of play it was Bellande's luck that ran out. He forgot to play his cards close to his heart and was promptly taken out by Hellmuth who relished the feeling. Finally it was battle between the likes of Hellmuth and Sheiky, in which hellmuth emerged winner.

The week of 03/27 was host to one of the interesting sessions of Poker After Dark. The week lineup included the likes of Gus Hansen, huckleberry seed, Steve zolotov, Phil hellmuth, Annie duke and Shawn Sheikhan. The game started on a bad note for 10 time WSOP champion Phil Hellmuth. After constantly been confronted and losing his cool he made his exit in a way that was not to his liking. Throughout the game he directed his pent up anger at the unfortunate Shawn Sheikhan a.k.a Sheiky. During the game play he got off the table only to get back and get kicked out by no other than Sheiky himself. After his inglorious exit, the game continued with Gus Hansen a.k.a the Great Dane and Steve Zolotov locked in a tangle of wits. The Great Dane ultimately altered his usual style of pay and slowly coaxed out Stevie Z from the game. The rest of the game was devoted to quiet and sensible play through the Seed that ousted the Sheik and Dutch queen. Annie fell to Gus Hansen's superior play that was backed by a bit of luck. Thus it was Seed and Hansen who face each other over the table. Though you may be friends out on the street, it is different when you are competing against each other for a stake as high as $120,000.

A number of these sessions are up for grabs at the leading poker sites. You can see your favorite players in action or read about their exploits on 'Poker After Dark' on any of these sites.
