This show was put on air mainly to attract professional players from all over the world. It is basically the best playing against the best. Though these people are professionals it doesn't state that the show is closed for the common man. This show is open for all. This show is basically based on a game of Texas Hold'em Up poker. A total of six players compete during the week for the top spot which will get them the prize money of $120,000. It is basically a show that hosts a game of poker lasting for a full week at the end of which the winner walks out with the prize money in hand. Players are selected on the basis of the number of tournaments they have won. There are sister tournaments staged and winners of these tournaments who are lucky get a free seat at the 'Poker After Dark'. You basically can get into the show by purchasing a seat by paying about 10,000 Full tilt poker points or by winning these smaller sister tournaments.

This show has been running for four seasons and is currently in its fifth season. It has proved to be a large platform for those who have it in them to become professional poker players.
